Lucas Perez wants to succeed at Arsenal, claims his agent as he U-turns on suggestions striker is keen to leave club amid lack of first-team chances

Lucas Perez’s agent has backtracked on claims the striker is looking to force through a move away from Arsenal and claimed he is keen to succeed in north London.

Agent Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle suggested on Monday that the 28-year-old was willing to leave the north London side ‘at any cost’ after a difficult start to life at the Emirates.

The former Deportivo La Coruna man only joined Arsenal in the summer in a £17.1million move but has made just 19 appearances in all competitions and seems far down the pecking order at Arsenal.

That led to Lovelle telling Italian outlet Calcio Mercato: ‘Look, the truth is that Lucas wants to leave at all costs and is not happy at Arsenal, he hasn’t settled and hasn’t had a chance to play and show what he can do.’

But speaking to Sportsmail, Lovelle insisted the forward was still keen to succeed with the Premier League giants.
